Enabling Email with SSL on Your iPhone

To Enable Incoming Email SSL

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.

  1. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars

  1. Choose the desired email account.

  2. Tap the account email address at the top of the page.

  3. Tap ‘Advanced Settings’

  4. Slide Use SSL to ON.



SSL on

 

  1. Tap Server Port and make the following change:

  2. IMAP - 993

  3. POP - 995

  4. Go back to account and Tap Done.

To Enable Outgoing Email SSL

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.

  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars and choose the desired email account.

  3. Tap the account email address at the top of the page.

  4. Select SMTP from the menu, tap the primary outgoing server for the account. This will be the server name assigned to your domain.

  5. Next to Use SSL, tap ON.

  6. Tap Server Port and change the port to 465.

  7. Tap Save.

You may need to restart your iPhone for the changes to take effect.
